I've really been enjoying these (though this is, I think, my first comment, oops). It's good to see one of the older fandom mentor figures being male, and especially since it means someone is watching out for PrinceC pretty well.

I was really amused by the way Case made PrinceC get a feel for what the non-fannish world is really like. It was a little like the time this summer when I visited relatives out west...none of my cousins (and certainly none of my older relatives on that side) are particularly fannish and not being in New York also makes a huge difference in culture. It made a nice change to go directly to a cognitive neuroscience workshop where everyone was geeky and could discuss things like Heroes and Douglas Adams.
